Good news for iPhone users: WhatsApp has introduced a scheduled message feature. This capability was previously rolled out in the Android beta version.
This feature is being introduced to select testers using WhatsApp on the latest version of iOS 26.42.10.19, as part of Apple’s TestFlight program. A broader rollout is expected in the coming weeks. This addition comes in response to long-standing requests from users many of whom noted that competing platforms, such as iMessage, have long offered similar functionality. This feature will soon be officially introduced by WhatsApp for iPhone users.
Whatsapp schedule Message Time
This feature works even when the mobile application is not actively running. You can schedule a message, and it will be sent at the designated time. Simply click the ‘send’ button, and you will see options to select a date and time. You can schedule a message for any time ranging from at least 10 minutes up to two weeks in the future. For instance, if you schedule a message now, it will be delivered to the recipient at that exact time two weeks later.
This option allows users to send text, links, images, and videos, with the ability to schedule media attachments separately. All scheduled messages will be end-to-end encrypted. A dedicated section will appear within the chat interface, displaying all messages scheduled by the user; these can also be deleted seamlessly.
Group Chat Scheduled Messages
If you use Group Chat, then the scheduled messages will be sent to the group members who were in the group at the time the message was scheduled, meaning that the member who was online or present in the group will receive this message. The rest of the people will not receive the message. The company has not provided this information whether this message will be received by both iOS and Android platform users or by one.
