The Embassy of Pakistan and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai began issuing electronic passports to Pakistani citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates on October 23, 2026.
The highest fee 2540 dirhams applies to the issuance of an urgent, 72-page, 10-year validity passport to replace one that has been lost for a second time. Based on an exchange rate of 76 Pakistani rupees to the dirham, this amount totals 193,000 Pakistani rupees. The 5-Year 36-page book costs AED 145 (Rs. 11,020).
Machine-readable Pakistani passports remain valid until their expiry date. Applicants are advised to apply for renewal only when their current passport has at least six months of validity remaining.
To qualify for and obtain a passport, applicants must provide their first and last names; only then will the passport application be processed. Further information and details are provided below.
