SNGPL has issued a load management schedule for domestic consumers in Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Effective Tuesday, November 4, gas supply has been restricted to three specific time slots per day. Under this new schedule, households will receive gas during the following periods: from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The government is prioritizing domestic consumers; however, the schedule is being adjusted due to the declining availability of LNG and rising demand during the winter season, which is placing significant pressure on the country’s gas supply system.

SNGPL Cuts Gas Supply to CNG Sector
Due to increased gas consumption during the winter, SNGPL has reduced the daily gas supply to the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) sector from 50 million cubic feet to 35 million cubic feet.
Plans are also underway to completely suspend this supply in the coming days. The cement industry has already shifted to using coal, while industrial consumers connected to the distribution network are also facing cuts in their gas supply. Furthermore, SNGPL has decided to alter the operational hours for gas supply.
Approximately 200 MMCFD of gas is currently being supplied to consumers connected directly to the transmission network, which includes both industrial and non-industrial sectors. Additionally, the power sector is receiving approximately 140 MMCFD of gas, and the fertilizer industry is receiving about 53 MMCFD. There is a possibility of further reductions in gas supply to the industrial sector.
